Very honoured to have been invited to speak at the UK's Stabilisation Unit Annual Forum to discuss how we can face the challenge of disinformation. I talked briefly about my own experience working in the Baltics and how our team used face-to-face community engagement to pass on our messages. Proving that sometimes the simplest methods are the most effective. Or 'A handshake and a chat is more effective than a tweet', especially as the public's trust in conventional mediums (print, online, radio) has been so severely shaken in recent times.

A very interesting event, attended by some impressive speakers (and then me!), particularly enjoyed Bellincat's use of open source data to seek truth in chaotic environments, and Mayday Rescue's outstanding work in support of the White Helmets in Syria.
